MK Dons fall short at Meadow Lane
Wednesday saw yet another woeful performance from MK Dons. Falling to a 3-0 defeat away st Notts County.
Level at the break after a rather drab first half, Dons completely capitulated in the second, literally gifting County the chance to put on a show for the cameras with spectacular strikes which MK facilitated the time and space for.
Some of the stats i found on sofascore.com massively highlight the Dons inadequacies in attack. Across all other metrics the teams were quite closely matched apart from aerial duels.
The men from MK1 only had four chances on goal and entered the box once. This seems a clear indication of the precious little support given to Danilo Orsi and lack of willingness to get men forward. This is further highlighted by 47% of their possession coming in the middle of the pitch.
A change in formation could be the answer to a lot of the problems Ben Gladwin's charges are having in front of goal.
