Battered by Barrow

You know things are bad when you want the season to end early. Despite a bit more intent shown in front of goal the Dons suffered yet another 3-0 defeat.

The first goal is the perfect definition of slicing a knife through butter, it was ‘utterly butterly’ disastrous defending from the home side.

And it didn’t get any better for the second or third goals either. Every week we are promised change but it never comes.

Tactically we are stuck. The current management team are out of their minds thinking that slow build up play is going to carve the opposition open. They were hit by Barrow’s ability to break forward quickly at pace. Hopefully it’s given them a bit of a wake up call. But let’s face it we’ve been hoping that all season from other defeats the club has suffered.

Prior to this game Ben Gladwin told local press that his side would not shoot on sight but use the ideas given to them to create opportunities to score goals. What goals?? We’ve conceded six and not hit the back of the net in either game.

Barrow had three big chances and scored them, Dons had the same with no end product as is often the case. Their goalkeeper only had two saves to make to Connal Trueman’s seven.

Ultimately there is no sense of direction on the pitch, in the dug out or in the boardroom.
